Writing: Finish 3 entries by Wednesday - Today students worked on looking for details within their chosen short stories that revealed who the main character is as a person.  They underlined these points in the story and copied them into a separate document.  They then pushed their thinking about the character by using at least 4 prompts (which students received via email) for each text reference.

Writing: Writing Celebration moved to Thursday!!!  Reminders:
  1. Student should read all teacher comments left on his/her writing piece.  In order to have the best narrative possible, I highly suggest making revisions based on each of my suggestions.
  2. The entire document should be in black, size 12 or 14 font, with all symbols placed in during revision, removed.  Students should give the narrative a unique & creative title that is centered and underlined.  In the upper left hand corner of the paper should be the student's name and below that should be Thursday's date.
  3. Students should use the editing checklist to do final self-editing.  Students should also have a parent/sibling complete the peer-editing side of the checklist.    
  4. The final paper should be started on a new document that students should title "11-10-14 Published Narrative".  I will be printing this off on Thursday morning, before our celebration.
