Writing: Finish 3 entries by Wednesday - Today students worked on looking for details within their chosen short stories that revealed who the main character is as a person.  They underlined these points in the story and copied them into a separate document.  They then pushed their thinking about the character by using at least 4 prompts (which students received via email) for each text reference.

Social Studies: Quiz on THURSDAY covering pg. 16, 25, 26, & 31 in Newsies Study Guide).  Any students who need a hard copy can get one tomorrow.

Writing: We just began our new writing unit on Literary Essays.  Yesterday, students took part in a condensed Lit Essay Boot Camp using the text The 3 Little Pigs.  They should annotate the 1st draft they completed in class and then write a 2nd draft, making necessary revisions.  This is due on Wednesday.
